When he was still an infant, his home planet was destroyed by a black hole. He, like Megamind and Minion is the last member of his species. Metro Man, another alien refugee from the Glaupunk Quadrant, is the adopted son of Lord and Lady Scott, a retired superhero and Megamind's initial arch-nemesis of good (later to be 'replaced' by Tighten). Now Megamind is the only hope to save the world from the mean Tighten. However, Tighten becomes greedy and evil and destroys Metro City. When Megamind decides to create another superhero to become his opponent, he accidentally transforms Hal Stewart into the super-powered Tighten, expecting that he would use his powers for good. Meanwhile he dates field reporter Roxanne Ritchie, who works with cameraman Hal Stewart, using the identity of curator Bernard and sooner they fall in love with each other. After a short period, Megamind feels bored without the battles against Metro Man. In their fights, Megamind always loses and ends up in prison however, Megamind develops a ray that kills Metro Man, reducing him to a skeleton. They become enemies and when they grow up, the population knows them as the superhero Metro Man and the villain Megamind. While one becomes popular but selfish, the other is absolutely outcast by the other students. They are raised in different environments of Metro City but study in the same school for gifted children. Their fate on Earth is opposite: one who is a beautiful baby with superpowers crashes in the lawn of a mansion, while the other who is ugly and blue with a big head crashes in a prison yard with his companion Minion. In the film, When a planet is about to be destroyed, two alien offspring are saved by their parents that launch them into space in pods. It is widely believed that either he or Megamind's mother created Minion.On November 5th, 2010, Megamind was released in theaters in the United States.However, his facial hair was more noticeable than his son, having a goatee, whereas the full-grown Megamind lacked a mustache and only had a soul patch. After realizing he must save Metro City from Titan's misdeeds, he realizes his parents were not supervillains and must now behave in a way they wanted to at the time of their saving him.īeing Megamind's true father, he clearly bears a resemblance to Megamind. However, this was at a time when he committed crimes. When Megamind takes over Metro City Minion tells him that his parents must be smiling down from "Evil Heaven". Megamind's father dies along with his partner when their planet is absorbed by a black hole. Before the pod takes off he tells his son that he is destined for greatness and hugs Megamind's mother as they watch their son depart. The Mega-Megamind mistook Megamind for Metro Man due to his new white suit and attempted to kill him. It was activated when Megamind pressed a red button that Minion found after the yard sale. Megamind built it when he was still a villain and programmed it to have his same personality. Once their son is inside the pod he gives him a glowing blue pacifier, which he refers to as his son's " binky", for comfort. The Mega-Megamind is a robot that appeared in Megamind: The Button of Doom. Megamind's father is only seen in a flashback, when his partner hands him their infant son and he takes him to escape pod. ![]()
